Dropping the "API" from Waitlist

Over the late, uneventful nights between sheltered-in-place Christmas 2020 and New Year's Day 2021, I spent hours with Bani on video call, redesigning Waitlist's website and leading the rebrand to help evolve the company from its Product Hunt 1.0.

A complete rebranding — no waitlist required!

During our conversations, Bani and I both agreed on a moving towards a more everyone-friendly direction. Prior to the rebrand, WaitlistAPI invited and had a feedback funnel of predominantly developers and tech-savvy folks, largely as a result of its public-facing image. This lead to exhausting sessions with potential customers who were less technical. Waitlist's new brand revolved around a more detailed, full story of the software, answering the frequently asked questions that these customers would have.
